So awhile ago I was scanning the radio and found this great station that was telling a story in the voice of a pirate. I'm usually not too interested in hearing people talk while I drive, but I left it on because most every sentence ended with "yar" and it made me giggle. "Mrs. Higglebottom, were ye wantin' to come over fer some tea yar?" Really great.

So I was driving around the area it came in yesterday and turned on the station just to see, and at first I thought I got the wrong station number because it sounded like it was just static, but I turned it up and listened carefully for awhile. Indeed, 'twasn't static at all, but music of the electro acoustic genre. Most people in the world don't even know what that is, and even if they did, they wouldn't go out of their way to listen to it. It's just a bunch of people who take sound clips of things and manipulate them to sound all weird and creepy. They have concerts of it from some of the composers at school, and I go to them because they're neat, but really only like five people who don't already have to go show up. I think it's one of those things that you have to be weirdly fanatic about to appreciate. I'm sure the reason why is that it sounds like your sound system is being possessed by unfriendly spirits trying to threaten you from beyond the grave. Another possibility: subliminal cultish manipulation.

Well, I think it's neat at least.

Later on in the evening they had this song that was basically this guy clearing his throat to a bebop beat. I mean, this man had a cadenza all by his little self that sounded like he had a small furry creature trapped in his esophagus that was just trying to climb its way into daylight again.

I guess I misinterpreted the sounds because the dj came up and said that the song was actually called "Constipation Blues." You win some, you lose some.

They're crossing over Teen Titans with Beavis and Buttheads on Robot Chicken. Har.
